My grateful spirit sings...

Indeed, how often do we give thanks to the Lord for his love and blessings? Well, for me, I think most of the time I only really give thanks during Congregation Prayer times. At home, I rarely give time to prayer, least to say about thanking Him for His Love and works that He had allowed in my life. Even life itself is given by Him. But how often have we really thank Him for it? We often take it for granted, something that we know would be given unto us, we sort of expect ourselves to wake up the very next day. But, it is not the case. Because He has awakened us and allowed us to have life. So that we can do what we want to do. In fact, we should do what He wants us to do. Share His very Word and let the whole world know about His great love.

I especially like Sally Deford's arrangement of choral songs. I really love them, they are beautiful and they sort of help me go into devotions much more easily. Although, if you listen more, you will realise that all her arrangements got the same "pattern", they still touch my heart deeply.

In all thy works I see thy glory
In mighty wonders; in small and simple things
My heart rejoices in the bounty set before me
And my grateful spirit sings
Each rising sun tells of thy goodness
The rain proclaims thee in the life it brings
All creation bears thee sure and silent witness
And my grateful spirit sings
The stars that crown the realms of space
Reflect the image of thy grace
The rolling seas, the earth and sky
Declare thy pow'r, thy majesty and might
I see thy hand in man's compassion
Thou art the font of kindness whence it springs
Thy boundless charity hath wrought my soul's salvation
And my grateful spirit sings
For changeless love and endless mercy
For countless blessings beyond the wealth of kings
For every perfect gift thou sendest, Lord, I praise thee
And my grateful spirit sings

Do we sing of His Grace and do our spirit often feel grateful? We must remember to put our Lord first in everything we do. Just like Neil Anderson in his "The Bondage Breaker", he talks about surrendering every thought to the Lord.
We must practise self-control and learning to trust Lord. Learn to let go and surrender it all to God.
