Rainbow Connection
Well, today was the day for Rainbow Connection - a time of games and gathering for the members of the Bilingual Service.
Well, it's really really early... We were supposed to gather at 8am at Pasir Ris Park... other than the Retreat, I don't remb having to wake up so early... so tiring... OSY still saz want to give me a lift... scolded me siao for saying want to save his petrol since I can easily walk ther... of which I did eventually, he didnt call till 8odd, of which I was already there... and one of the early birds too... considering tat the families were already there to set up things... and I believe they had a chalet... and some stayed overnight the night b4...
initially, i invited JY to go along, but I guess he cant make it as usual, so dint ask him again...
well, I was in the Indigo's team with Francis as the leader... it's a bit pathetic coz, other than him and me, there was Juan Peng and Sheela, two kids... and we were really alittle too small in quantity to "compete", so much so until we must borrow some ppl from other team... lol ...
I felt that the games planned was very good coz it catered to the young and the old... although the kids were not really into playing... but Napoleon's mom was really a great sport... did an Indian dance as well as the Hawaiian dance... wow, impressive...never tot she was so spontaneous...
maybe because its the first time the families organised such an event for the whole service ppl, it seems abit messy and disorganised at times... but they really put in alot of effort sia... got wonderful presents... props for forfeit... games props... and even shade and seating area... all very well planned... the games were not too difficult and require not much effort of running... and there wasn't no wet games... hehe... the weather was hot but everyone had a great time... well, i had a great time... although when i went for SF talentime... i was a walking zombie... then got to meet Elder SH, i was stoning liao...
i have a feeling this might turn up to be an annual event sia...
