First meeting for GEN12 wave 2
Okay, this message must finally sink in... I am going to South Africa this May. It would be winter by then there. So far many friends have expressed concerns about high crime rates, high AIDs rate and whatsoever... but I guess, when it comes to doing God's work, God will provide for everything. Now, it is time to stretch our faith to raise support for this project!
Didn't know till last night that we have a training session this morning, until Juliana called me. Okay, still dunnoe who she is, how she looks like, coz she dint turn up todae...
Finally met up with some of the team people - Janice (the staff), Arlene, Huiling, E.James, Joanne and Daniel... I think Justin is also in this group... that makes us two from NUS Arts...
The staff went through about how we can about raise support and money... and of course being one of the furthest destination, it means we have the largest amount to raise... hmm... everybody is seriously troubled by it, but then again, God is our Provider, I believe He will show us many wonderful miracles...
Quite excited to meet so many people... plus it is abit scary coz normally my own church congregation also dunhaf SO MANY people, haha... plus the style of singing, songs sang are all unknown to me... okok, except two which I've heard from the hillsongs CD i owned... plus I am really still not used to praying out loud and praying for others right openly... dunno what's wrong wif me... so fearful, oh Lord, bless me!
I'm looking forward to work with this group of people and as well as to overcome my own fears... but most importantly, the trip is ultimately about God, and loving God... and His people =)
