This is the 6th day in Tokyo le. Wow! So many things have happened! Yah, finally got the labtop, coz my team at Apple house only get to share one labtop... the queue is SUPER LONG! But then again, we haven't much time to really surf the net. If it's not ministry, it's meeting and devotion. It's seriously tiring.
So many exciting things are happening every moment.
My lugguge did not arrive with me. It was left behind in Bankok. Thank God, I've packed some clothes in my hand carry. And thanks to the girls whom I stayed with, who lent me some stuff here and there to survive. Yes, it finally arrived on the 2nd day, whew!
Have quite alot of problem with the language here, coz I TOTALLY dun understand! Although one of my team mates, Kaiting was able to speak and understand, I can't do so, when she is not around.
The weather is cool here and sunny. But it's predicted that it will rain these few days. And when it does rain, it really rains the whole day, wow!
First few days for us were orientation where we met up with Naomi and Taketo, who are the staff for CCC here in Japan. It took us quite awhile to get used to everything, esp. the train. If you search for Japan JR train lines map, I promise you that you will see birds... its million times more complicated than Singapore's!
My team has also been splited into two groups - one to Tsuda Women's college and one to Hitotsubashi University. I am in the Hito group... its a university for law, business, commerce and social science.
First day of ministry was to distribute flyers to the students. Our target is the freshmen because CCC in Hito is very new. So in order for CCC staff to have growth, freshmen are the easiest to follow up and attract. So far, I've met quite a few Sociolgy students as well... but Sociology in Japan is very diff as in Singapore... People are very friendly and interested in Singapore. We are holding lunch time programmes such as English class, Singlish class and Chinese class for these friends, as well as some cultural exchanges and game time, to get to know them better and then of coz, to spread the gospel. Yea!
Anyway, it's really late already, and it will be along day ahead. I will try to update whenever possible. I'm so tired to type anymore le... oh yeah, for pictures... go to my multiply page =)
