It is the last day of the year! Actually, it doesn't feel that much special. But maybe it's time to draw a full-stop to all things in year 2006 and say "HELLO" to 2007.
I have a permanent job now. And a big THANK-YOU to all friends who are concerned. I'm working in NYK Bulkship, under NYK Group Asia. Basically what I do is shipping operations. That include loads of paperwork. But I feel that the work is very fun. Guess because the environment is good. My bosses and collegues are Japanese and one Indonesian. Everybody is friendly. However, I have problem understanding them. Oh dear, it can be very embarrassing.
We do not do import or export, not my dept. anyway. I 'm in the tanker department. So basically, we do chartering, that is transportation for oil customers. So our 2006 ended with a blast because there was an oil spill on the last working day. All my bosses had to go for emergency meeting.
This year Christmas was a much lighter affair. It had been a good rough year but we survived by God's grace. Pray that it will be better next year.
Now, need to work hard on my Japanese!
